TRACTS COST Action

Since 2021, I have been co-chairing the TRACTS COST Action on trace as research agenda for climate change, technology and social justice.
TRACTS brings together scholars from across the social sciences and humanities alongside artists, decolonial activists, memorialization experts, and legal professionals to address the cultural, political, and geographical gaps in research on trace. Focusing on the conceptual, methodological, and ethical dimensions of traces, we have organised symposia, workshops, funded individual grants and experimental forms of knowledge production.

As part of the Action, I am currently co-editing a book series with Lee Douglas and Aimée Joyce titled Spectropia: Experiments in Trace (De Gruyter). We are also co-editing the opening volume, Counter-Cartographies of Trace: Theoretical, Methodological, and Ethical Approaches Across Disciplines, which features contributions by scholars, artists and activists.
